Data Backup Solutions
Everyone thinks about backing up their data after it’s too late, Don’t wait we have several backup solutions available. Perhaps you haven’t been backing up your system because you’re not really sure how to. Or maybe you have attempted to, but you’re not really sure if you’re getting all the right data.
What is on your Computer? Family photos and/or videos, personal information, documents, all of your email contacts and saved emails, job resumes, financial records, school projects/homework, the list is endless.
What if you are a Business? All of your business information, customer records and invoices, customer contacts, tax records, again the list is endless.
Your data is the most critical part of your company’s network. A recent study discovered that, of companies experiencing a “major loss” of computer records, 43 percent never reopened, 51 percent closed within two years of the loss, and a mere 6 percent survived over the long-term.
We cannot stress enough the importance of miantaining a current backup of your important data that is saved on your computer or laptop. Backups work best when you have multiple copies, at least one of which is both current and offsite.
The reasons for data loss are numerous, such as viruses, application problems, human errors, operating system failure, hard drive failure, natural disaster, fire, flood and many more.
Hard drives do NOT last forever, and they DO have a general lifespan, on average 3 to 5 years. Did you know that Laptop hard drives have a higher failure rate over desktop hard drives? Most laptops lack proper air flow and cooling, and being that they are mobile there is the possibility of hard drive damage from being dropped.

The best defense is a good offense. We provide several options to help you create and maintain a backup solution in the event of a hardware or software failure. We can help you set up your automated back-ups and remote storage (especially useful in the event of a catastrophic event).
Your back up solution should be automatic, if it’s not automatic, the user will have to remember to make periodic backups, or it just never seems to get done. The day that you forget could be the day you loose everything important to you. Many backup solutions, can be set up to do it automatically, so you can just set it and forget it.
Backups should also be tested regularly to make sure that the data is readable and actually restorable!
We can assist you and implement a proper backup routine that will keep your files safe and secure. Remember one of the most important factors of a backup is having a regular routine that is easy to follow – otherwise your important backups will never get done.
Backup solutions for every need.
-We can backup all your important files such as email, Office documents, Pictures, Music and any other critical files you have. These can be burnt onto DVD, copied to a USB thumb drive, or onto another hard drive which could be a portable drive.
- We can also perform a complete backup of your hard drive and data including all your settings, installed programs, and Windows itself. This type of backup is called a clone or image and will ensure a quick recovery of Windows and your entire system when a restore is needed. This makes a system much easier to restore in the event your hard drive becomes corrupt. When an image is restored, the entire drive is put back exactly how it was when the backup was made.
-If a clone or image backup does not exist, then a restoration can be a time consuming affair, reinstalling Windows, Office, and all other programs that you use, as well as trying to remember all of your settings.
A word of Caution: If your computer has a restore partition, or you have a disc labled ” Restore Computer To Factory Settings” And you use either of these options you will wipe your current hard drive and restore an image of your computer just like the day you bought it, losing all of your documents, pictures, etc.
We offer many different approaches for you to choose for backups.
-External USB hard drives. (We have a wide range of hard drives and external enclosures if you don’t already have the hardware you need.)
-Internal hard drives. (Install a second hard drive, for desk tops, to keep your important files backed up.)
-USB Flash Thumb Drive. ( As an example, an 8GB flash drive or thumb drive can hold the equivalent of about 8,000 floppy disks or almost 12 CDs!)
-And automated on-line backup (The most secure and reliable back up, accessible from any Internet connection)
